CC DARE provides support to sub-Saharan African countries in
building the technical, analytical, and institutional capacity needed
for integrating climate change risks and opportunities into national
development planning and decision-making.
CC DARE was officially launched in February 2008. Uganda, Senegal
and Tanzania participated in the pilot phase. CC DARE is now expanding
to other sub-Saharan countries.
CC DARE is a joint UNEP/UNDP Programme funded by the Danish Ministry
of Foreign Affairs. The Programme is managed by project staff in UNEP,
UNDP, URC and UNEP-DHI Centre for Water and Environment.
