The NordSESIL Network helped communities in
isolated areas of the Nordic Region access information and resources about
relevant sustainable energy solutions; and initiate appropriate projects.
The Network was established in 2007 with
funding from Nordic Energy Research
(NER). Other major partners are GRID-Arendal,
UNEP Risoe Centre (URC), Nordic Atlantic
Cooperation (NORA), PURE
Energy Centre (PURE), Centre for
Arctic Technology (ARTEK), Institute for
Energy Technology (IFE), and
The Nordic Working Group for Sparsely Populated regions (TBO).
